About Me

My name is Kathryn Mann, I am a wife and stay at home mom of two amazing kiddos, Charley and Zander. Almost 10 years ago now, my husband and I moved to a small rural New Brunswick town with no intentions of making it our home. I was about to have my first knee replacement surgery and was going to be staying with my folks while I recovered. My husband, who was my boyfriend at the time, was to return to Nova Scotia to work during but neither one of us really liked the idea of him being 8 hours away for 4-6 months. So on a whim he sent off a few resumes and within a day he had a job! So, that began our move, we still only planned on staying here until my recovery was over and then move back to NS but that was not the case. We ended up finding a deal on a house that we could not pass up and Micheal, my husband, was happy at his job. It just seemed like we were meant to be here. So, fast forward 10 years and here we are, married with 2 children, a boy and a girl, and enjoying our little life in rural NB.

I am actively involved in many organizations within our little town, children’s ministry director at our church, member of our ladies ministry team, treasurer of the home and school board at our elementary school, vice chair of the Parent School Support Committee at the same school, President/treasurer of our minor basketball association and volunteer of any other opportunity that comes my way! I love to be involved and being a stay at home mom allows me to do that.

I am also a lupus mom, meaning I have lupus and live with its struggles each and everyday of my life. This is the reason I don’t work outside my home because I am physically unable to do so. I live my life pretty well and don’t often let my lupus slow me down but there are days/weeks/months when I have no choice but to slow down. So I do and just make sure to listen to my body when I need to so that it doesn’t keep me down for long.

I decided to start CeeZeeM Studios for a few different reasons. One was that I love to craft and make things and what a better way to be able to keep doing it that start a business that has me crafting all the time. Another reason is that I wanted to have a way to add a bit of financial support to our family, while we do just fine without it, it is always nice to contribute if you can. And finally, because I miss meeting new people regularly and the atmosphere that comes from being a crafter and attending craft shows and markets. If you are wondering where the name comes from it is Cee (for my daughter Charley) Zee (for my son Zander) and M (our last name Mann). So, the beginnings of CeeZeeM started and through planning and research and months and months of going back and forth of what this adventure would look like we are finally here, ready to share with all of you and hopefully to create something for you as well!
